SUMMARY:World Nature Conservation Day
DESCRIPTION:(No theme decided at this time – 7/5/2025)\nWorld Nature Conservation Day acknowledges that a healthy environment is crucial for a stable and healthy society. It’s a chance to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet’s natural resources: air, sunlight, soil, minerals, fuels, and water.\nEvents & Programs – Grey Towers Heritage Association\nThe purpose of the day is to spread the message of sustainable living and to promote conservation efforts worldwide.\n__\nWORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY HISTORY\nWorld Nature Conservation Day began in India by those who were concerned about protecting the Earth’s natural resources. The Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Center in New Delhi promotes the day. The Department of Environment, the Ministry of Environment and Forests, and the Government of India sponsor ENVIS. Many countries have joined India in observing this important day for our planet.\n__\n#WORLDCONSERVATIONDAY\nOur planet’s natural resources consist of air, sunlight, soil, minerals, fuels and water. All of these things are found in nature and used by people. Currently, there are nearly 8 billion people that populate the Earth, with that number expected to exceed 9 billion by 2037. This means we all are using the earth’s natural resources every day, using them up at a rapid pace. Many people are concerned they will become depleted, causing concern about educating ourselves about the importance of conserving our natural resources.\n5 WAYS TO SUPPORT #WorldNatureConservationDay\nMany conservation organizations around the world hold a variety of events on this day. These events include workshops and educating the general public on how to conserve natural resources. Here are a few ways you can participate:\n 1. Think of ways you can conserve natural resources in your home and community.\n 2. Teach your children about the importance of conserving our planet’s natural resources.\n 3. Watch a documentary, such as Yurt, A Fierce Green Fire, and The Blue Planet.\n 4. Read about famous nature conservationists like John Muir, Theodore Roosevelt, Rachel Carson, Sir David Attenborough, and Jane Goodall.\n 5. Share your nature conservation ideas and thoughts on social media by tagging #WorldNatureConservationDay.\nWORLD CONSERVATION DAY | July 28 – National Day Calendar\n
